"Lang may yer lum reek" - Scottish Slang

Scots use this slang to wish someone 'a good health and long life' especially during festive occasions like birthdays or New Year. It's a Hogmanay greeting but has been used by the majority as it only means the best for someone. To intensify the expression, 'Wi' ither folks coal!' could be added, a phrase which originated in Edinburgh.
