The Duke of Wellington Statue - Pop Colour Art

As one walks along the streets of Glasgow, especially around the area where the Gallery of Modern Art is, stands a highly significant albeit waggish statue: the Equestrian statue of the first Duke, Arthur Wellesley. It was sculpted by Carlo Marochetti, an Italian artist. One thing remarkable about the statue is the traffic cone on the Duke's head which only characterises the humor of the locality.
