Built in 1971 by the Carlisle Firm Cowans, Sheldon & Co, the Finniestion Crane or also known as Stobcross Crane is a famous sight in the center of Glasgow. Although no longer in use, the crane served its purpose as a major engineering figure, particularly to load and unload heavy shipments distributed globally. Today, it stands as a reminder of how adept Scots are in terms of infrastructures and skyscrapers.
